He signed with the Sooners over Florida, Miami, Michigan State, and others coming out of high school.</p><p>The 6-foot-3, 294-pounder appeared in 13 games in 2024. <p>Las Vegas Raiders general manager John Spytek is more than willing to use a premium pick on a running back in April's draft.</p><p>"I mean, we just saw <a data-in-app-uri="thescore:///nfl/players/99272" href="https://thescore.com/nfl/players/99272">Saquon Barkley</a> just change the Eagles in one year," Spytek said Friday, according to <a href="https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/44736154/raiders-gm-john-spytek-believer-taking-rb-high-draft">ESPN's Ryan McFadden</a>. "There's certain ways to build a team, and I don't know (how) we got to a place where we don't feel like running backs are valued."</p><p>The Raiders hold the sixth overall pick after a 4-13 season. Las Vegas is likely to consider former Boise State star <a data-in-app-uri="thescore:///ncaaf/players/172507" href="https://thescore.com/ncaaf/players/172507">Ashton Jeanty</a>, who's <a data-in-app-uri="thescore:///news/3269249" href="https://thescore.com/news/3269249">theScore</a>'s third overall prospect, if he's available when the team is on the clock.</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>"I come from the University of Michigan, and (running backs) were certainly really valued there," Spytek added. The club traded a third-round pick to the Seattle Seahawks to acquire the signal-caller this offseason.</p><p>The Raiders also own pick Nos. 37, 68, and 108, among others. Spytek doesn't plan to force selections for the sake of organizational need.</p><p>"If you start forcing players because you need them, you end up regretting that," the 44-year-old said. "And you also can't have enough good players in certain positions, too. Sometimes what doesn't feel like a need right now becomes a need after one or two injuries during the season, and then you're thankful you took this really good player."</p>

He was selected in the fourth round of the 2019 draft after his standout college career.</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>"Maxx Crosby's return to EMU in this leadership role is a transformative moment for our football program," director of athletics Scott Wetherbee raved.</p><p>The school will also rename its depth chart for the weak-side defensive end position from "LEO" to "MAXX," and the team's top edge rusher will wear Crosby's No. 92.</p><p>Eastern Michigan finished the 2024 season with a 5-7 record. The program made three consecutive bowl game appearances from 2021-23. The Eagles defeated San Jose State to win the Potato Bowl in 2022.</p><p>Crosby has posted 59.5 sacks, 105 tackles for loss, 144 quarterback hits, and nine forced fumbles in 95 career games with the Raiders. He signed a three-year, $106.5-million extension with Las Vegas in March.</p>

"But we want to get better every day. I want to be No. 1 in everything."</p><p>Players are asked to rank their current club based on factors that include locker room quality, treatment of families, and ownership quality to generate public <a href="https://nflpa.com/report-cards/2025">report cards</a>. The Jets were ranked the 29th overall franchise, and Johnson was ranked the league's worst owner.</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>Johnson was ranked 32nd in perceived willingness to invest in the team's facilities, 32nd in contributing to a positive team culture, and 31st in commitment to building a competitive team. Only Carolina Panthers owner David Tepper ranked below Johnson in the last category.</p><p>The Jets haven't posted a winning record since 2015, when they went 10-6, and the club hasn't made the postseason since losing in the AFC Championship Game in 2010.</p>

Williams, 30, reunited with the Bolts on a one-year deal in March.</p><p>Allen said in January that he'd only play for the Bears, Chargers, or Los Angeles Rams if he suits up for the 2025 season.</p><p>The 32-year-old tallied 904 receptions, 10,530 yards, and 59 touchdowns in 139 games with the Chargers. Those marks rank second, second, and third, respectively, in franchise history.</p>

<p>The NFL revealed several team proposals for rule and bylaw changes Wednesday that the league will vote on at its annual meeting, including adjustments to seeding and regular-season overtime.</p><p>The Detroit Lions submitted the most drastic proposal: a change to playoff seeding that would favor teams with the best records, regardless of division standings. For example, the Minnesota Vikings (14-3), Washington Commanders (12-5), and Green Bay Packers (11-6) were wild-card teams last season despite owning better records than the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (10-7) and Los Angeles Rams (10-7), who won their divisions. The Vikings, Commanders, and Packers would be seeded higher than the Buccaneers and Rams under the proposed change.</p><p>The Philadelphia Eagles proposed adopting the league's playoff overtime rules during the regular season. Both teams would possess the ball in a 15-minute overtime period (extended from its current 10 minutes) rather than one team being able to win the game with a touchdown on the first possession of the extra frame. Rare exceptions would include a safety being scored on the first possession of overtime - a rule already in place.</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>Detroit also proposed to eliminate granting an automatic first down to the offense when the defense commits a holding or illegal contact penalty. The team cited "competitive equity" as a reason for the change, stating that the "current penalty enforcement is too punitive for the defense."</p><p>The final suggested rule change, made by the Packers, seeks to ban the tush push that the Eagles made popular over the last several seasons. The amended rule would prohibit an offensive player from "immediately at the snap, push(ing) or throw(ing) his body against a teammate, who was lined up directly behind the snapper and received the snap, to aid him in an attempt to gain yardage."</p><p>Owners will discuss and vote on potential changes during the league's annual meeting, which starts March 30. At least 75% (24 of the 32 teams) must vote in favor of a new rule for it to pass. The NFL's competition committee has yet to reveal its own proposals, which will also be voted on during the meeting. In February, <a href="https://apnews.com/article/nfl-overtime-rules-e25e2b863e88cfb0c6b49d5f82a2e914">the committee indicated</a> it was considering changes to the regular-season overtime rules and expanding the number of fouls that qualify for replay assist.</p>
