Young needs these three young wideouts to figure out their roles quickly.</p><h3><a id="CHI" name="CHI">Chicago Bears</a></h3><p>🤔 <em>Will new O-line additions be enough?</em></p><p>Caleb Williams was sacked 68 times last year, the most of any quarterback in the league. General manager Ryan Poles prioritized boosting the offensive line this offseason, adding Joe Thuney, Drew Dalman, and Jonah Jackson. The additions are upgrades compared to what the Bears had in 2024, but they still come with questions. Thuney is aging, Dalman is under a microscope after signing a huge deal in free agency, and Jackson was benched last year despite being handsomely paid by the Rams. <p>Tampa Bay Buccaneers left tackle <a data-in-app-uri="thescore:///nfl/players/119185" href="https://thescore.com/nfl/players/119185">Tristan Wirfs</a> will likely begin the season on the physically unable to perform list after undergoing knee surgery Tuesday, according to the <a href="https://x.com/NFLSTROUD/status/1942956102166909304">Tampa Bay Times' Rick Stroud</a>.</p><p>Players placed on the PUP list are forced to miss at least the first four games of the year.</p><p>During the offseason, Wirfs reaggravated a right knee injury that forced him to miss one game in 2024, according to Stroud. Wirfs underwent arthroscopic surgery that discovered some additional minor damage.</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>Wirfs signed a five-year, $140.6-million extension with the club last offseason that made him the highest-paid offensive lineman in NFL history. </p><p>The 26-year-old earned first-team All-Pro honors last season and is considered one of the best offensive tackles in the league. He didn't allow a sack in 664 pass-blocking snaps in 2024, according to <a href="https://premium.pff.com/nfl/teams/2024/REGPO/tampa-bay-buccaneers/offense-pass-blocking">PFF</a>. </p><p><a data-in-app-uri="thescore:///nfl/players/93605" href="https://thescore.com/nfl/players/93605">Charlie Heck</a>, who signed a one-year deal with the Bucs this offseason, is expected to fill in for Wirfs at the beginning of the 2025 campaign.</p><p>Wirfs has started 79 games since entering the league as a first-round pick in 2020. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p>

The 34-year-old suffered the injury during the Bucks' first-round playoff series.</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>Milwaukee reportedly decided to waive and stretch Lillard on Tuesday. He's <a data-in-app-uri="thescore:///news/3306614" href="https://thescore.com/news/3306614">apparently</a> "elated" because it allows him to join a contender without putting significant weight on the financial element of his decision. There's almost $113 million left on his contract, so he'll count for about $22.5 million against the Bucks' cap for the next five years - the biggest contract that's ever been stretched.</p><p>The Bucks acquired Lillard from the Portland Trail Blazers in a blockbuster three-team trade ahead of the 2023-24 season. Perry was crucial in Edmonton's run to the Stanley Cup Final in 2024-25, totaling 10 goals and four assists in 22 playoff contests.</p><p>The veteran forward has reached the finals six times during his 20-year NHL career. He hoisted the Stanley Cup as a member of the Anaheim Ducks in 2007.</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>Perry was selected in the first round of the 2003 draft. He has 448 goals and 487 assists in 1,392 career games.</p><p>Ceci also spent three years with the Oilers under Holland. He split the 2024-25 campaign between the San Jose Sharks and Dallas Stars, tallying 24 points in 85 games. The 31-year-old is a right-shot defenseman and stands 6-foot-3, 210 pounds.</p><p>Dumoulin could potentially join forces with Ceci on L.A.'s second or third defense pairing. A two-time Stanley Cup winner with the Pittsburgh Penguins, Dumoulin collected 22 points in 80 games split between the Anaheim Ducks and New Jersey Devils last season.
