So let me get this straight - if I had accepted the lowball offer, suddenly my hip would be fine, and I'd be on the White House card? That doesn't make sense."</p><p>Jones hasn't fought since November 2024 but had been rumored for weeks as a potential candidate to headline the UFC White House card. The UFC legend and Alex Pereira showed mutual interest in a potential megafight.</p><p>However, a bout between lightweight champion Ilia Topuria and interim champ Justin Gaethje will headline the June 14 event instead. Pereira will face Ciryl Gane for the interim heavyweight championship in the co-main event.</p><p>"I understand business deals fall through sometimes, but going out publicly and saying things that aren't true isn't right," Jones added. "After everything I've given to the UFC, the years, the title defenses, the fights, hearing that I'm 'done' is disappointing. With the offensive line also in need of a retool, the Giants have a ton of work to do to give their young quarterback a healthy, solid foundation.</p><h3>Philadelphia Eagles</h3><p><strong>Will they move A.J. Brown?</strong></p><p>Brown recently hinted at staying in Philadelphia, but with how last season went, the star wideout's future with the Eagles is still up in the air. He dealt with constant drama throughout the 2025 campaign and expressed his frustration with his role in the offense. Although they would eat a $43-million dead cap hit in '26 if they trade him before June 1, the Eagles would save a ton from 2027-29, as Brown is scheduled to count for around $133 million across those three seasons. The 25-year-old was phenomenal during the Seahawks' playoff run, earning Super Bowl MVP honors. However, Walker has never been a workhorse back outside of this postseason. It'll be interesting to see if Seattle is willing to give him top-of-the-market money at his position.</p><h3>Tampa Bay Buccaneers</h3><p><strong>Will they bring back Evans and Dean?</strong></p><p>The Bucs have important free-agent decisions to make. Franchise legend Mike Evans is on an expiring contract and played only eight games in 2025. The 11-time 1,000-yard receiver turns 33 next season and <a data-in-app-uri="thescore:///news/3480610" href="https://thescore.com/news/3480610">plans to test the market</a>, but Tampa Bay certainly could still use his leadership and red-zone effectiveness. Defensively, things would go from bad to worse if Jamel Dean - the Buccaneers' top cornerback - doesn't return. The pending free agent set a career high with three interceptions and was PFF's fifth-ranked corner last year.</p><h3>Washington Commanders</h3><p><strong>Do they have enough resources to upgrade the roster?</strong></p><p>After trading multiple 2026 picks to land Laremy Tunsil a year ago, Washington has just two top-140 selections (Nos. 7 and 71) in 2026. While the Commanders could mortgage 2027 draft capital to acquire players, they'll likely need to improve their roster primarily through free agency. They have the sixth-most projected cap space, according to Spotrac, but it's tough to improve a 5-12 team on the open market alone.</p>

<p>The Big Ten is circulating an document internally that details what a 24-team College Football Playoff would look like and features several major changes to the format, according to <a href="https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/47917988/big-ten-eyes-24-team-cfp-no-league-championship-games">ESPN's Pete Thamel</a>, who obtained the document.</p><p>The suggested format uses a 23+1 selection model and eliminates conference championship games. It also adds a weekend of on-campus CFP home games.</p><p>The document has been distributed to Big Ten athletic directors and head coaches, sources told Thamel.</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>Although the College Football Playoff is expected to expand in the near future, it'll remain at 12 teams for the 2026 season. The SEC and Big Ten - the power conferences that are essentially in charge of CFP decision-making - are at a stalemate.</p><p>In recent discussions about a new format, the SEC agreed on a move to 16 teams. The Big Ten was only willing to accept that if there was also an agreement to eventually expand to 24 teams, Thamel notes.</p><p>"In today's transfer portal/player movement era, teams may lose a game or two early and gel together later in the season - more playoff opportunities late provide an appropriate safety net," the Big Ten document says.</p><p>The document also states that the conference is eyeing a CFP move to 16 teams in 2027 and '28 before expanding to a 24-team field "no later than the 2029 season."</p><p>The 24-team format would include the nation's top 23 teams with no automatic qualifiers in addition to one spot for the Group of 6. The eight best teams would receive a playoff bye.</p>

That game marked Seattle's second consecutive appearance on football's biggest stage, following its victory over the Denver Broncos in 2014.</p><p>Like the 2013-14 Seahawks, Seattle built an elite defensive unit in 2025 with second-year head coach Mike Macdonald in charge. At 38, Macdonald is the third-youngest sideline boss to win the Super Bowl.</p><p>The victory also marked Klint Kubiak's final game with the Seahawks.
