<p>Denver Nuggets forward <a data-in-app-uri="thescore:///nba/players/30810" href="https://thescore.com/nba/players/30810">Aaron Gordon</a> is back in the lineup for Saturday's Game 4 against the Minnesota Timberwolves, the team announced.</p><p>Gordon was a late scratch for the previous contest due to a calf injury.</p><p>The Nuggets fell 113-96 to the T-Wolves in Game 3 and trail 2-1 in the best-of-seven series.</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>Gordon's been a key player on both ends of the floor, averaging 12.5 points, 7.5 boards, and 3.5 assists through the first two games of the series.</p><p>The 6-foot-8 forward made a career-low 36 appearances during the regular season, mostly due to a pair of hamstring strains.</p>

<p>Houston Rockets star <a data-in-app-uri="thescore:///nba/players/345" href="https://thescore.com/nba/players/345">Kevin Durant</a> won't play in Friday's Game 3 clash against the Los Angeles Lakers due to a left ankle sprain.</p><p>Durant was also a late scratch for the series opener with a right knee contusion, but he did play in Game 2.</p><p><a data-in-app-uri="thescore:///nba/players/121682" href="https://thescore.com/nba/players/121682">Reed Sheppard</a> started in Durant's place for the second time in three contests.</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>Despite the 16-time All-Star spraining his ankle Tuesday in his return to the lineup, he still tallied 23 points, six boards, and four assists in 41 minutes.</p><p>Rockets head coach Ime Udoka told reporters - including <a href="https://x.com/mcten/status/2047803221779914864?s=20">ESPN's Dave McMenamin</a> - ahead of Friday's game that Durant turned his ankle with 7:20 to go in the fourth quarter of Game 2 and has been dealing with swelling.</p><p>Durant had one of his healthiest campaigns prior to his recent injuries. The 37-year-old averaged 26 points, 5.5 boards, and 4.8 assists across 78 regular-season appearances.</p>

He finished tied for the NCAA's lead in double-doubles (22) and ranked fourth in free-throw attempts (280).</p><p>Boozer was the first freshman or sophomore to average at least 20 points, 10 rebounds, and four assists in one season since Larry Bird accomplished the feat in 1976-77.</p><p>Boozer earned the Wooden Award as the nation's top overall player and the Karl Malone Award as the best power forward.</p><p>The Blue Devils are also losing Isaiah Evans from last season's Elite Eight squad, but they'll have Dame Sarr and Cayden Boozer back for the 2026-27 campaign.</p>

"It's not going to go away immediately. That's something that's going to have to linger for a while. It's enough where I can play at a high level, I believe."</p><p>Sources characterized the injury as severe tendinitis, according to Fedor. It initially flared up March 3 against the Detroit Pistons.</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>With the Cavs locked into the East's fourth seed, the team also held Allen out for three of its final five regular-season contests. A month into the campaign, the future Hall of Famer hinted that he'd retire following the season.</p><p>A few weeks later, the Clippers abruptly ended Paul's second stint with the franchise and sent him home in the midst of a five-game road trip.</p><p>Paul reportedly complained about the Clippers' coaching staff, players, and front office. He apparently wasn't on speaking terms with head coach Tyronn Lue.</p><p>Paul was still hopeful of continuing his NBA career despite the sudden split. The 12-time All-Star was traded to the Toronto Raptors in February as part of a three-team deal. He was waived a week later and subsequently announced his retirement after 21 seasons.</p>

"I think we're a better team than that. Additionally, the quartet of Harden, Mitchell, Allen, and <a data-in-app-uri="thescore:///nba/players/96054" href="https://thescore.com/nba/players/96054">Evan Mobley</a> has a net rating of plus-26.7 in 92 minutes together.</p><p>Despite the challenges, Barnes believes the Raptors match up well with the Cavs.</p><p>"I like our chances and what we can do out there on the floor," Barnes said. "I think we can do a great job of using our physicality in this series."</p><p>Game 1 begins Saturday in Cleveland at 1 p.m. ET.</p>
