<p><a data-in-app-uri="thescore:///nhl/players/3948" href="https://thescore.com/nhl/players/3948">Leon Draisaitl</a> isn't worried about the Edmonton Oilers' ability to bounce back after a blowout loss to the Florida Panthers in Game 3.</p><p>"We pride ourselves in coming up with an answer after not-so-great showings," Draisaitl <a href="https://x.com/EdmontonOilers/status/1933203938070954303">told</a> reporters Thursday. "We're all looking forward to tonight. We're a team that responds really well after not-so-great games."</p><p>The Oilers are no stranger to winning series after falling behind. The club was down 2-0 to the Los Angeles Kings in Round 1 and lost the opening game of the Western Conference Final but strung together four straight wins in both instances.</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>The Oilers were also down 3-0 to the Panthers in the 2024 Stanley Cup Final before thumping Florida 8-1 in Game 4. Edmonton then won two more games to force a Game 7. The Oilers are 18-2 in Games 4-7 over the past two seasons.</p><p>"It's all experience, right? You go through this run last year where we were under pressure for a lot of games. You just get comfortable in those situations knowing that you play one good game, you find a way to get a win on the road, and you go home and the series is tied," Draisital said. "We know it's going to be hard. ... But with experience, you just learn in these moments that all you need is one game right now."</p><p>Draisital has notched 10 goals and 19 assists in 19 games during the playoffs while averaging 22:38 of ice time. The 29-year-old scored a power-play goal in overtime of Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final.</p><p>The Oilers will look to even the series when the puck drops Thursday at 8 p.m. ET in Sunrise, Florida.</p><p> </p><p> </p>

I had a whole bunch of people tell me how crazy I was, and 'Man, I would never have done that.' That's all cool, but I've gained all these things that the world has to offer, and it doesn't really do anything for your heart. I knew my heart was at peace, and that's really all that mattered."</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>The quarterback gave up the $30-million salary he was expected to earn in 2025, but he retained his $10-million signing bonus for being on the roster in March. Carr had two years left on the four-year, $150-million deal he signed in 2023.</p><p>The 34-year-old <a data-in-app-uri="thescore:///news/3283569" href="https://thescore.com/news/3283569">retired</a> in May because of a shoulder injury. Carr had experienced pain in his right shoulder in late March, and scans revealed a labral tear with significant degenerative changes to his rotator cuff. The quarterback would have required surgery to play the upcoming season.</p><p>"I wouldn't have been able to play if I had the surgery," Carr told Rumsey. "And then if I tried to play with it, I wasn't near 100%, and so that doesn't help (the Saints) either. I just felt like it was the right thing to do for myself and for the team."</p><p>Carr played two seasons with the Saints after spending the first nine years of his career with the then-Oakland Raiders. He finished with a 14-13 record in New Orleans, throwing 40 touchdowns and 13 picks. Kelce's speech focused on the play's mechanics and how it wasn't overly dangerous. The center is at the bottom of the ensuing pile of players. The Eagles have one of the highest success rates of the play.</p><p>The Green Bay Packers submitted a proposal in February to outlaw the play, citing player safety and pace of play. The motion, which was <a data-in-app-uri="thescore:///news/3288614" href="https://thescore.com/news/3288614">revised</a> Monday, sought to ban the pushing or pulling of any ball carrier in "any direction at any time."</p><p>The ban ultimately didn't receive the number of votes required to outlaw the play. Twenty-four of the 32 NFL owners must be in favor of any particular motion for it to pass. The proposed ban needed at least 24 supporting votes to pass.</p><p>The teams that sided with the Philadelphia Eagles and voted to keep the tush push were the Baltimore Ravens, New England Patriots, New York Jets, Detroit Lions, Cleveland Browns, Jacksonville Jaguars, Miami Dolphins, Tennessee Titans, and New Orleans Saints, sources told <a href="https://x.com/AdamSchefter/status/1925246819153371398">ESPN's Adam Schefter</a>.</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>"We took all the necessary vote counts and realized that was not a rule that was ready to be passed," NFL competition committee chairman Rich McKay said Wednesday, according to <a href="https://x.com/JoriEpstein/status/1925238610720182474">Jori Epstein of Yahoo Sports</a>.</p><p>The Green Bay Packers submitted a proposal to ban the tush push in February, citing player safety issues and competitiveness. The safety car was deployed on Lap 15 after Aston Martin's Fernando Alonso collided with Racing Bulls' Liam Lawson and crashed into the barrier.</p><p>"My luck in Miami seems pretty good at the minute, so I'm happy," Norris said after the sprint.</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>Ferrari's Lewis Hamilton rounded out the podium with a third-place finish after pitting early for soft tires. So, I'm gonna do what I can in this number and make it special on defense in my own way."</p><p>The Seahawks selected Wilson in the 2012 NFL Draft, and he played for the club for ten seasons. They won a Super Bowl in Wilson's second year under center and made it to another in his third. The 36-year-old was named to nine Pro Bowls during his tenure in Seattle.</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>Wilson was traded to the Denver Broncos in 2022 and is currently the New York Giants' starting quarterback after a brief stint with Denver and another with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
