Conor McGregor's Octagon return is finally official.

The former two-division champion will face Max Holloway in a welterweight bout that will headline UFC 329 on July 11 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, the promotion announced Saturday.

McGregor will end a five-year layoff when he meets Holloway in a rematch of their August 2013 bout, which McGregor won via unanimous decision. The 37-year-old Irishman hasn't fought since breaking his leg in a loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021.

McGregor was initially slated to return in June 2024 against Michael Chandler, but he withdrew due to an injury, and the matchup was never rescheduled.

One of the biggest stars in UFC history, McGregor is seeking his first win since January 2020, when he knocked out Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone in 40 seconds.

Holloway, a former featherweight and BMF champion, is coming off a lopsided defeat to Charles Oliveira at UFC 326 in March. The 34-year-old Hawaiian is 1-2 in his last three outings.

The promotion announced several other fights for UFC 329. Olympic gold medalist Gable Steveson will face Elisha Ellison in his Octagon debut, and Robert Whittaker will take on Nikita Krylov in his first fight at light heavyweight.

Here's the full UFC 329 lineup as it stands now:
