Report: Suns' Green out at least 4-6 weeks with hamstring strain
Phoenix Suns guard Jalen Green will miss at least four-to-six weeks with a strained right hamstring, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania.
Green re-aggravated the injury during Saturday's win over the Los Angeles Clippers.
The injury previously delayed his Suns debut until the ninth game of the regular season. He then played just under seven minutes in his second appearance before exiting.
The setback is an unfortunate change of pace for Green, who rarely missed time while with the Houston Rockets. He's one of just five players who played all 82 games in both the 2023-24 and 2024-25 campaigns, during which he averaged 20.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 3.5 assists for the Rockets.
Phoenix acquired the 23-year-old wing as well as forward Dillon Brooks in a blockbuster multi-team trade that sent Kevin Durant to Houston. In his only complete game with the Suns thus far, Green played 23 minutes and posted 29 points on 10-of-20 shooting, including 6-of-13 from deep. He also had three assists, three rebounds, and two steals in another win over the Clippers.
