Houston Rockets forward Kevin Durant will miss Monday's game in Phoenix against the Suns and Wednesday's contest in Golden State versus the Warriors while tending to a family matter, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania.
Monday was scheduled to be Durant's first game against the Suns since they traded him to Houston in July. The 37-year-old spent the past three campaigns with Phoenix and previously played three years with Golden State.
Durant is averaging 24.6 points through 14 contests in his first season with the Rockets.
Houston owns a 10-4 record and sits fifth in the Western Conference after acquiring Durant as part of a seven-team trade.
