The New Orleans Pelicans are signing veteran forward Saddiq Bey to a three-year, $55-million contract extension, Bey's agents told ESPN's Shams Charania.
The contract includes a trade kicker.
Bey, who will earn $6.6 million this season on what would've been an expiring deal, is now under contract through 2029-30.
The 27-year-old averaged a career-best 17.7 points in 72 games (64 starts) in 2025-26, his debut year with the Pelicans. He also put up 5.6 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game while posting 45/37/84 shooting splits.
Bey tore his ACL in March 2024 while playing for the Atlanta Hawks. He then signed a three-year deal with the Washington Wizards the following July but missed the entire 2024-25 campaign while recovering from the injury. Bey didn't appear in a game for Washington, as the team sent him to New Orleans in July 2025.
Bey, the 19th overall pick in the 2020 draft, owns career averages of 14.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, and two assists. He's likely to feature heavily in a Pelicans wing rotation that includes Trey Murphy III, Herbert Jones, and newcomer Bennedict Mathurin.
