Oklahoma City Thunder wing Jalen Williams was stretchered off with a gruesome leg injury in the fourth quarter of Sunday's contest against the Los Angeles Clippers.
Williams landed awkwardly on his left leg after driving to the hoop with 1:14 remaining in the final frame. He was fouled by Clippers guard Kris Dunn, who was assessed a flagrant-1 foul on the play following a review.
"I just feel bad for him," an emotional Shai Gilgeous-Alexander said in a postgame interview, according to ESPN.
"It's obviously going to be tough without a player like that. But he's not gone forever. He'll be back better than ever, and we know it. We've just got to hold the fort down until he comes back."
Williams, 25, appeared in only 33 games last season due to a recurring hamstring injury. The former All-Star and All-NBA third-team selection inked a five-year rookie max extension in July 2025 that could be worth up to $287 million, which kicked in at the start of this season.
"We’re not doing great," Thunder coach Mark Daigneault said, according to the Associated Press' Tim Reynolds.
The Thunder also lost forward Jaylin Williams and guard Cason Wallace to injuries earlier in the contest with the Clippers.
Oklahoma City claimed a 108-101 road win to move to 3-0 on the season.
