Duke's Knueppel entering NBA draft
Duke sharpshooter Kon Knueppel is declaring for the 2025 NBA Draft, he announced on social media Wednesday.
The projected lottery selection averaged 14.4 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.7 assists while shooting 47.9% from the field and 40.6% from three in his lone season with the Blue Devils.
The 6-foot-7 Milwaukee native was ESPN's 19th-ranked player coming out of high school. The four-star recruit didn't disappoint during his time in North Carolina, making the All-ACC second team.
Knueppel won the ACC Tournament MVP after recording 18 points and eight rebounds in a championship victory versus Louisville.
Knueppel continued his momentum into the NCAA tourney, scoring over 20 points in the Sweet 16 and Elite Eight.
Knueppel is the first player from Duke's talented freshman cohort to declare for the NBA draft. His teammate Cooper Flagg is expected to be the No. 1 overall selection.
