Isaiah Hill, the top-ranked center in the 2027 class, committed to Purdue on Friday, according to Jeff Borzello and Paul Biancardi of ESPN.

The 7-foot Indiana native and five-star recruit ranks eighth nationally among ESPN's top 60 prospects for 2027. He becomes the Boilermakers' highest-ranked recruit since at least 2007.

Hill said that head coach Matt Painter's experience working with 7-footers, such as former Player of the Year Zach Edey, was a factor in his decision to stay in state. The Pike High School junior also received interest from Louisville, Florida State, Indiana, and Illinois, as well as others.

"Yeah, they can help me with my post work a lot," he told Joe Tipton of On3. "I know I've been more of an outside player, but I want to be able to do both when I get to college. That's one of the reasons I liked Purdue."

Hill is the Boilermakers' first commit of the 2027 cycle.
