The Minnesota Twins selected Georgia Tech catcher Vahn Lackey with the third pick in the 2026 MLB Draft on Saturday.
Lackey joins Jason Varitek, Matt Wieters, Joey Bart, and Kevin Parada as Georgia Tech catchers taken in the first round.

The 21-year-old Lackey shot up draft boards after hitting .397/.519/.772 with 20 home runs, 78 RBIs, and 15 steals for the Yellow Jackets last season.
The right-handed hitting backstop is an agile defender with enough raw power to potentially hit 25-30 homers as he blossoms in Minnesota's pipeline.
