Lacy to return to Ole Miss in 2026
Kewan Lacy is returning to Ole Miss for the 2026 season, the team announced Tuesday.
The All-SEC running back signed for another year with the Rebels, sources told Max Olson and Pete Thamel of ESPN on Monday.
Lacy ranks third in the country with 1,464 rushing yards and has been a key catalyst in the Rebels' run to the College Football Playoff semifinal later this week.
Star quarterback Trinidad Chambliss announced Monday he'd also return to Ole Miss next season, provided he receives a waiver from the NCAA granting him a sixth year of eligibility.
Lacy and Chambliss were both perceived as potential transfers to LSU after former coach Lane Kiffin bolted to Baton Rouge following Ole Miss' regular season. The duo transferred to Oxford under Kiffin's watch and became stars in his offense.
However, both have now pledged commitments to remain with the Rebels, who face Kiffin in Week 3 next season.
