Eagles acquire Alexander from Ravens for late-round pick swap
The Philadelphia Eagles acquired cornerback Jaire Alexander from the Baltimore Ravens, the team announced Saturday.
Philly sent a 2026 sixth-round pick to Baltimore in exchange for the veteran defensive back and a 2027 seventh-round selection.
Alexander signed a one-year deal with the Ravens in June after being released by the Green Bay Packers. The two-time Pro Bowler has only played 61 defensive snaps in two games this season and was a healthy scratch in the Ravens' Thursday night win over the Miami Dolphins.
The 28-year-old will join an Eagles defense that has struggled to solidify the second outside cornerback spot across from Quinyon Mitchell. Kelee Ringo and Adoree' Jackson have started multiple games, with neither player permanently securing the job.
Alexander, a two-time second-team All-Pro, has 70 passes defended and 12 interceptions in 80 career contests. Philadelphia is on a bye this week and will face off against the Packers, Alexander's former team, in Week 10 on Monday Night Football.
