Full Olympic hockey rosters must be submitted by Dec. 31. St. Louis Blues president of hockey operations and general manager Doug Armstrong will lead the selection process for Canada's team. Tampa Bay Lightning bench boss Jon Cooper is the head coach.
Players not invited to the orientation camp can still make the Olympic roster.
The men's hockey tournament runs from Feb. 12-22 in Milan.
Canada won the last two Olympic men's hockey tournaments that included NHL players in 2014 and 2010.
