Report: Kraken willing to listen to offers for Wright
The Seattle Kraken are open to hearing out trade offers for center Shane Wright, according to TSN's Darren Dreger.
Seattle general manager Jason Botterill is reportedly in no rush to move Wright and has set the price incredibly high.
The Kraken are willing to use their young center depth to land an impact winger, Dreger adds. Seattle has selected a center with its top draft pick in four of its five years as a franchise.
Wright tallied 19 goals and 25 assists in 79 games during his first full NHL season in 2024-25. However, the 22-year-old has regressed this season with only 17 points in 49 games.
The Kraken selected Wright with the No. 4 pick in the 2022 NHL Draft. Wright, who was granted exceptional status into the OHL as a 15-year-old, was widely expected to go No. 1 but slid on draft day.
