Montreal Canadiens head coach Martin St. Louis told reporters Sunday that defenseman Lane Hutson is doing fine despite appearing to suffer an injury toward the end of Saturday's Game 2.
Hutson looked to be shaken up after taking a hard hit from Carolina Hurricanes forward Taylor Hall in overtime.

Hutson was slow to get up and stayed on the ice momentarily before heading to the bench. Nikolaj Ehlers scored the OT winner for Carolina on the next shift.
Hutson has been the engine of Montreal's offensive attack this postseason, leading the team in ice time and ranking second behind captain Nick Suzuki with 14 points in 16 games. His 12 assists also top all NHL defensemen in the 2026 playoffs.
