The statistical history of the Winnipeg Jets organization will now include their first iteration as a franchise as well as their tenure as the Atlanta Thrashers, the Jets and NHL announced Thursday.
The original Winnipeg Jets became the Phoenix Coyotes in 1996. The Jets returned to Winnipeg when the Thrashers relocated in 2011.
The Coyotes' franchise history will only include its 28 years in Arizona. The franchise has been inactive since it transferred its assets to Smith Entertainment Group to become the Utah Mammoth in 2024.
The Jets' new record books now show Dale Hawerchuk as the all-time franchise leader in goals (379) and points (929). Current Winnipeg forward Mark Scheifele set those pre-consolidation franchise records in 2025 but has now been bumped back down the list.
Scheifele needs eight goals and 23 points to reclaim the top spots.
