Ottawa Senators goaltender Linus Ullmark had to be helped off the ice after suffering a noncontact injury in Wednesday's 5-1 win over the Florida Panthers.

Senators head coach Travis Green said postgame that Ullmark is dealing with a lower-body strain and will be evaluated Thursday, per NHL.com's Andrew Wilimek.

Ullmark is an early front-runner for the Vezina Trophy. He leads the NHL with seven wins and sits second in save percentage (.945) and goals-against average (1.33). He stopped 17 of 18 shots before departing Wednesday.

Backup goalie Samuel Ersson entered the game in relief of Ullmark. Ersson has struggled with a .831 save percentage in four appearances this season.

Veteran Jonas Johansson, Ottawa's third goalie, would likely be recalled if Ullmark is forced to miss time.
