The Masters is headed to a playoff between Rory McIlroy and Justin Rose after McIlroy bogeyed the 18th hole on Sunday.
The tournament appeared to be McIlroy's after he birdied the 17th hole to take a one-shot edge, but the four-time major champion couldn't get up-and-down from the greenside bunker to fall back into a tie with Rose.
Rose vaulted into contention with a sizzling 6-under 66, capped by an epic birdie on the 18th to post 11-under. That was enough to force extra holes after McIlroy's errant wedge into 18 left him scrambling to try and secure the win.
The sudden-death playoff will begin on the 18th hole before heading to the 10th if necessary.
