Natasha Cloud is tired of seeing her New York Liberty be overlooked in a crowded New York City sports market.

The Liberty captured their first-ever championship in 2024, and Cloud wants it known they're hunting for more.

"Pay attention to Liberty basketball," she told theScore's Brad Parker.

The New York sports market, which boasts two men's franchises in each of the NHL, MLB, NFL, and NBA, has failed to win a championship in those markets since 2011. The Big Apple's last men's sports victory came when New York City FC won the MLS Cup in 2022.

The Liberty have jumped out to a 7-0 record, tying the franchise record for most wins to start a season. Most recently, they destroyed the Connecticut Sun by the second-largest margin in a WNBA game (48 points).

New York traded two first-round picks to acquire Cloud this past offseason. The defensive ace is averaging 10.9 points and 6.9 assists so far this campaign.

The Liberty will have an opportunity to collect their eighth consecutive victory against the 3-4 Washington Mystics on Thursday.
