Ogwumike, Reese, Mabrey among WNBA All-Star reserves

Los Angeles Sparks star Nneka Ogwumike earned the 11th All-Star nod of her career upon being named among the reserves for the 2026 All-Star Game on Tuesday.

Ogwumike, who tied Diana Taurasi and now only trails Sue Bird (13) for the most All-Star selections all time, will be joined by first-time selections in Marina Mabrey and Dominique Malonga of the Toronto Tempo and Seattle Storm, respectively.

The starters for the event - headlined by Las Vegas Aces forward and reigning MVP A'ja Wilson and New York Liberty star Breanna Stewart each securing their eighth career selections - were announced Thursday.

The Dream, who did not have a representative among the voted starters, will send three reserves to the event, with Angel Reese joining last year's All-Star duo of Allisha Gray and Rhyne Howard. Reese is averaging a career-best 14.9 points to go along with 11.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.6 steals after arriving in Atlanta as part of an April trade with the Chicago Sky.

The 2026 All-Star Game is set for July 25 in Chicago at 8:30 p.m. ET.
