Salah's strike was part of a resounding 6-0 victory for Liverpool, who finished third in the league phase of the Champions League and therefore secured an automatic spot in the round of 16.
In addition to ending his goal drought, Salah also matched a Liverpool record by making his 80th Champions League appearance for the Merseyside club.
