The Toronto Blue Jays acquired infielder Lenyn Sosa from the Chicago White Sox for minor-league outfielder Jordan Rich and a player to be named later or cash, the clubs announced Monday.
Sosa has gone 7-for-33 with three RBIs over 12 games this season. The 26-year-old went deep 22 times with 75 RBIs and a .727 OPS across 140 contests in 2025.
The Blue Jays could use Sosa's defensive versatility amid a wave of injuries that's sidelined George Springer, Addison Barger, and Alejandro Kirk.
Sosa has no minor-league options left.
Right-hander Shane Bieber was transferred to the 60-day injured list to make room on Toronto's 40-man roster.
Rich, 18, hasn't made his professional debut. He was selected in the 17th round of the 2025 draft.
