Pittsburgh Pirates reliever Chris Devenski was suspended three games and fined an undisclosed amount for intentionally throwing at Cincinnati Reds first baseman Sal Stewart during Saturday's blowout win, MLB announced Tuesday. Pirates manager Don Kelly also received a one-game ban.
However, Devenski's punishment was reduced to two contests following an appeal, according to Jason Mackey of MLB.com. The right-hander will start serving his ban Tuesday and miss the first two games of the series against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Devenski was ejected following the incident with Stewart, which took place in the seventh inning with the Pirates up by nine runs.

Kelly will serve his suspension Tuesday.
The Pirates and Reds don't meet again until a three-game series in Pittsburgh starting June 26.
