The Atlanta Braves placed Spencer Strider on the 15-day IL on Saturday with right elbow inflammation.
Strider left Friday's start versus the New York Mets in the fourth inning.
The right-hander threw three fastballs below 90 mph to the last batter he faced. He averaged over 95 mph in the first inning.

Strider surrendered seven earned runs on six hits with one walk and three strikeouts over three innings. He owns a 5.31 ERA and 1.36 WHIP in 39 innings (eight starts) this season.
Strider, who finished fourth in 2023 NL Cy Young voting, already missed the first five weeks of the season recovering from an oblique strain.
The 27-year-old underwent Tommy John surgery in 2019 and then, in 2024, needed another UCL procedure, which included an InternalBrace.
