Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman left Wednesday's game against the Royals in the eighth inning after falling into Kansas City's dugout while tracking a foul ball.

"I went to lean, like I was going to lean against the rail to catch the ball - and obviously there was no rail," Freeman told The Associated Press.
Freeman finished the inning on defense, but Tommy Edman pinch-hit for him to lead off the bottom half of the frame. Enrique Hernández played first base for the Dodgers in the ninth.
"I didn't hit my head, so that was the key part there," Freeman added. "I am sore. Kneecaps are sore. Shoulder is sore. Hand sore. Wrist sore. I mean, I fell. (But) I'm in good spirits."
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said postgame that Freeman is day-to-day while experiencing "total body soreness," according to Sonja Chen of MLB.com.
"We really dodged a bullet," Roberts added.
Freeman was 1-for-2 with a walk during the contest, which the Dodgers won 4-2.
The 10-time All-Star is in the midst of another fine season, slashing .306/.380/.472 with 15 home runs, 27 doubles, and 57 RBIs in 118 games.
