The Cincinnati Reds have placed third baseman Eugenio Suárez and outfielder TJ Friedl on outright waivers, reports The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal.

Other MLB teams now have a 48-hour period to claim Suárez and Friedl. However, they will likely go unclaimed and remain with Cincinnati, according to Rosenthal.

Suárez is owed approximately $3 million for the rest of the season. The 35-year-old is hitting .208/.295/.410 with 19 home runs and 57 RBIs across 103 games this campaign. He crushed a grand slam Wednesday to help the Reds complete a huge comeback over the San Francisco Giants.

Suárez joined Cincinnati on a one-year, $15-million deal in February after tying a career high with 49 home runs in 2025.

Meanwhile, Friedl is owed around $700,000 this season. He's batting .158 with three homers.

The Reds rank last in the NL Central with a 63-71 record.
