Usman returning in main event vs. Buckley at UFC Atlanta

Former UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman is returning to action against Joaquin Buckley in the main event at UFC Atlanta on June 14, the promotion announced Friday.

A women's flyweight fight between Rose Namajunas and Miranda Maverick will serve as the co-main event.

Usman hasn't fought since losing to Khamzat Chimaev in his middleweight debut in October 2023. The 37-year-old is currently the fourth-ranked welterweight. He is 0-3 in his last three fights.

Meanwhile, Buckley - the No. 7 fighter in the division - most recently defeated Colby Covington in December to extend his winning streak to six fights.
