San Antonio Spurs forward Jeremy Sochan has suffered a fractured left thumb, the team announced Tuesday, according to Casey Viera of KENS 5 - San Antonio.
He's set to have surgery later this week.
Sochan sustained the injury in the second quarter of Monday's matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers and didn't return.
No recovery timetable was provided.
The third-year player started strongly for the Spurs, averaging 15.4 points, 7.7 boards, three assists, and one steal across seven appearances.
Keldon Johnson took on the majority of Sochan's minutes after his departure Monday and will likely slide into San Antonio's starting lineup.
The Spurs are already without key guard Devin Vassell.
San Antonio sits 12th in the West with a 3-4 record.
