Pistons' Ivey stretchered off court with apparent leg injury

Detroit Pistons guard Jaden Ivey had to be stretchered off the court after suffering an apparent leg injury during Wednesday's 105-96 win over the Orlando Magic.

Ivey was hurt early in the fourth quarter when Magic guard Cole Anthony collided with him as he dived for a loose ball.

The third-year Pistons player immediately clutched his left leg and screamed in pain.

Ivey remained on the floor for several moments as the team's medical staff attended to him.

"It's tough," Pistons head coach J.B. Bickerstaff told reporters postgame, per Omari Sankofa II of The Detroit Free Press. "No better teammate, person than (Ivey). No one who cares more about this thing than him. It's tough to see."

Ivey was averaging a career-high 17.4 points, 4.2 boards, and four assists across 29 appearances this season.

Detroit selected Ivey with the No. 5 overall pick in 2022. He was named to the NBA's All-Rookie second team.
