Report: Raptors, Hawks neck-and-neck for Pelicans' Ingram
The Brandon Ingram sweepstakes could soon be coming to a close.
The Toronto Raptors and Atlanta Hawks are neck-and-neck in their pursuit of the New Orleans Pelicans forward, sources told The Athletic's Sam Amick.
It's unclear what each team has offered in exchange for the one-time All-Star.
Ingram is out indefinitely after sustaining a sprained ankle in December against the Oklahoma City Thunder. He's averaged 22.2 points, 5.6 boards, and 5.2 assists over 18 appearances this season.
The Duke product is set to become a free agent this summer.
Ingram has emerged as a key piece for the Pelicans since being acquired from the Los Angeles Lakers in the Anthony Davis blockbuster deal six years ago.
The 27-year-old earned his lone All-Star selection and Most Improved Player award honors during his first season in New Orleans.
