Los Angeles Lakers star Luka Doncic is out at least one week after being diagnosed with a left finger sprain and lower left leg contusion, the team announced Sunday, according to The Athletic's Dan Woike.

It's unclear when the five-time All-Star suffered the injuries.

Doncic would miss a minimum of five games under the timeline provided by the club.

The Lakers have no long-term concerns regarding Doncic's injuries, a source told Woike.

Los Angeles is already without LeBron James, who is reportedly targeting a mid-November return from sciatica.

Doncic was off to a scorching start through the Lakers' first two contests, averaging 46 points, 11.5 rebounds, 8.5 assists, and one steal.

The Slovenian joined Wilt Chamberlain, Michael Jordan, and Anthony Davis as the only players in NBA history to begin a campaign with back-to-back 40-point performances.

Los Angeles is 1-1 entering Sunday's tilt against the Sacramento Kings.
