The hits keep on coming for the Utah Jazz.

Former All-Star Lauri Markkanen is being evaluated for a right ankle and right hip injury suffered Wednesday in practice, a source told Kevin Reynolds of The Salt Lake Tribune.

The 2023 Most Improved Player will reportedly undergo an MRI to determine how bad the injuries are, adds Reynolds.

Markkanen is in his fourth season with the Jazz after being acquired from the Cleveland Cavaliers in September 2022 as part of the Donovan Mitchell blockbuster trade.

The 7-foot-1 forward is averaging a career-high 26.7 points on 47.7% shooting, including a 35.5% clip from deep, across 42 appearances this season.

Utah's frontcourt is already without newcomer Jaren Jackson Jr., Walker Kessler, and Jusuf Nurkic for the remainder of the campaign.

The Jazz reportedly also ruled out fourth-year guard Vince Williams Jr., who suffered a season-ending ACL tear Monday against the Houston Rockets.

Utah (18-40) has the sixth-worst record in the Association entering Wednesday's play. Its 2026 first-round draft pick is top-eight protected.
