Memphis Grizzlies guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is exercising his $21.6-million player option for next season, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania.

Caldwell-Pope had until Tuesday to opt in to his contract for the 2026-27 campaign.

Memphis acquired Caldwell-Pope from the Orlando Magic in June 2025 as part of the Desmond Bane trade.

The 33-year-old averaged 8.4 points, 2.7 assists, and 2.5 boards across a career-low 51 appearances last season. He's a career 36.5% 3-point shooter but only made 31.6% of his attempts in 2025-26.

The Detroit Pistons originally selected Caldwell-Pope with the No. 8 overall pick in 2013. His other previous stops include the Los Angeles Lakers, Washington Wizards, and Denver Nuggets.
