The NBA won't discipline Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo for punching former teammate Tyler Herro during an altercation in Las Vegas last week, a league spokesperson told The Athletic's Joe Vardon.
"After discussing with the players involved and the NBPA, everyone would prefer to move on from this unfortunate circumstance, and no further action will be taken by the league," the spokesperson said.
Adebayo reportedly struck Herro last Friday after the Milwaukee Bucks guard appeared to yell something at the Heat big man as he entered the gym where Herro was practicing.
The issue apparently stemmed from Herro's critical comments about Adebayo on social media.
In his first comments regarding the situation, Herro said Tuesday that he's"trying to move past all of it."
Herro and Adebayo were teammates for the last seven years before the Heat traded Herro, a Milwaukee native, to the Bucks in June as part of a package for star Giannis Antetokounmpo.
