After attracting interest from the NFL this past winter, Notre Dame head coach Marcus Freeman says he isn't going anywhere.
"I'm all-in. I've been all-in," Freeman said Tuesday, according to The Athletic's Pete Sampson. "I don't see myself being the head coach or coaching anywhere else."
Freeman announced last December that he would be returning as Notre Dame's head coach for the 2026 season. He was reportedly being courted by NFL teams, including the New York Giants, but he opted to stay put in South Bend on a restructured contract.
"There were times when I wanted to listen to some other people, and I did," Freeman said. "It confirmed that this is the place I want to be."
Freeman's contract is worth nearly $12 million annually, per Sampson.
The 40-year-old has posted a 43-12 record since taking over for Brian Kelly in 2021. The Fighting Irish enter the 2026 campaign with high expectations after going 10-2 last year.
