Baylor fired head coach Dave Aranda after Saturday's loss to Kansas that dropped the team to 4-3, sources told Pete Thamel of ESPN.
The decision comes amid Baylor's two-game losing streak, which also includes a loss to TCU.
Defensive coordinator Joe Klanderman will step in as interim coach, Thamel adds.
Aranda had been the Bears' head coach since 2020, compiling a 40-40 record.
His best season came in 2021, when Baylor went 12-2 and won the Sugar Bowl. However, the program hasn't come close to reaching those heights again, posting records of 6-7 in 2022, 3-9 in 2023, 8-5 in 2024, and 5-7 in 2025.
Aranda served as LSU's defensive coordinator before taking the Baylor job in 2019.
