Carlisle credits 'pissed-off Colts fans' for great Pacers crowd
Indiana Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle liked what he saw from the fans in attendance for his team's 132-121 win over the New York Knicks on Sunday.
At his postgame press conference, Carlisle gave a shoutout to "pissed-off" Indianapolis Colts fans for helping create a rowdy atmosphere at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
"What a game," Carlisle said. "What a great crowd. There's nothing like a bunch of pissed-off Colts fans to really make the atmosphere what it needs to be for a game against New York. Happy that all those folks showed up."
The Colts fell 30-20 to the Buffalo Bills at home earlier in the day, marking their third consecutive loss. Indy sits second in the AFC South at 4-6.
The Pacers, meanwhile, have won three of their past four games and are 5-5 on the season.
