49ers' Purdy day-to-day with shoulder soreness
San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy is dealing with soreness in his throwing shoulder and is considered day-to-day, head coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters Monday, including The Athletic's Matt Barrows.
The 49ers' next contest is a road matchup against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.
Purdy completed 21 of 28 attempts for 159 yards, a touchdown, and an interception in the team's 20-17 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday. He also ran for 40 yards and a score on five rushes. The 24-year-old didn't miss a snap during the defeat.
Brandon Allen is San Francisco's backup quarterback. The club also rosters Joshua Dobbs. Allen took one snap in Week 1, while Dobbs has yet to appear in a game this year.
Purdy has completed 66% of his passes for 2,613 yards, 13 touchdowns, and eight interceptions in 10 games this season. He's added another 267 yards and four scores on the ground.
