NFL Playoff Picture: Postseason seeds, projected draft order
NFL Playoff Picture is a weekly look at the teams jockeying to secure their shot to make it to Super Bowl LX.
AFC
| Seed | Team | Division | Record |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Broncos | West | 9-2 |
| 2 | Patriots | East | 9-2 |
| 3 | Colts | South | 8-2 |
| 4 | Steelers | North | 6-4 |
| 5 | Bills | East | 7-3 |
| 6 | Chargers | West | 7-4 |
| 7 | Jaguars | South | 6-4 |
The Denver Broncos used another strong fourth quarter to take down the Kansas City Chiefs and become the AFC's new No. 1 seed with the Indianapolis Colts on a bye. Sean Payton's outfit is off next week, so the Colts will regain that spot with a win over those same Chiefs.
In the hunt
| Seed | Team | Division | Record |
|---|---|---|---|
| 8 | Texans | South | 5-5 |
| 9 | Chiefs | West | 5-5 |
| 10 | Ravens | North | 5-5 |
The Chiefs have the same record as the Houston Texans and Baltimore Ravens, but their momentum is very different. While Kansas City has lost two in a row, Houston and Baltimore have streaks of two and four wins, respectively.
NFC
| Seed | Team | Division | Record |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Eagles | East | 8-2 |
| 2 | Rams | West | 8-2 |
| 3 | Bears | North | 7-3 |
| 4 | Buccaneers | South | 6-4 |
| 5 | Seahawks | West | 7-3 |
| 6 | Packers | North | 6-3-1 |
| 7 | 49ers | West | 7-4 |
The Philadelphia Eagles remain in control of the NFC after knocking off the Detroit Lions. The Los Angeles Rams also have eight wins, but the Eagles defeated the Rams in September and have the tiebreaker.
In the hunt
| Seed | Team | Division | Record |
|---|---|---|---|
| 8 | Lions | North | 6-4 |
| 9 | Panthers | South | 6-5 |
Sunday's loss to the Eagles dropped the Lions out of the playoff picture for now, but the team still has a 84% of going to the postseason, according to The Athletic.
Projected NFL draft order
| Pick | Team |
|---|---|
| 1 | Titans |
| 2 | Giants |
| 3 | Browns |
| 4 | Saints |
| 5 | Jets |
| 6 | Raiders |
| 7 | Commanders |
| 8 | Rams (via Falcons) |
| 9 | Bengals |
| 10 | Cardinals |

Not only did they take the driver's seat in the NFC West, but their extra 2026 pick once again looked better as the Atlanta Falcons lost to the Carolina Panthers and fell to 3-7. The Falcons traded away their Round 1 selection in a draft-day trade last April to move up and take James Pearce Jr.
