The Dallas Cowboys reportedly submitted an offer to Brandon Aubrey that would make him the NFL's highest-paid kicker, but he'd like to put more distance between himself and the rest of the market.

The Cowboys put an offer on the table that would exceed the $6.4 million per year that Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker earns, but Aubrey is eyeing a contract closer to $10 million per season, sources told ESPN's Todd Archer.

Dallas will likely use a second-round tender on Aubrey, who's slated to become a restricted free agent this offseason, Archer adds. That tender would be worth $5.8 million for 2026.

The 30-year-old has become one of the league's best kickers, especially from long distance. Aubrey has made 35 field goals from 50-plus yards since 2023, seven more than his closest competitor (Chris Boswell, 28). He's also made six kicks of 60-plus yards in that span, with no other kicker having converted more than two.

Aubrey has successfully made 88.2% of his field-goal tries in the NFL and has earned a Pro Bowl nod in three straight seasons.
