Four-time MVP Aaron Rodgers is in no rush to decide whether he'll return to the Pittsburgh Steelers for a second season.

The future Hall of Fame quarterback led Pittsburgh to a 10-7 record last season en route to helping the team capture its first division title since 2020. But the 42-year-old hasn't yet provided a definitive answer on his potential retirement.

"I've talked to (head coach) Mike (McCarthy), I've talked to (general manager) Omar (Khan). There's been no deadline that's been put in front of me," Rodgers said Wednesday on "The Pat McAfee Show." "There's no contract offer or anything, so there's nothing I'm having to debate between. I'm a free agent. Again, I'm enjoying my time with my wife and enjoying this part of the offseason. I think there's conversations to be had down the line."

Khan previously declined to confirm whether the start of free agency on March 11 would serve as a deadline for Rodgers to make a decision.

"I don't really want to say it has to be done by then. Would like to have an idea, but it just isn't going to go like it did last year," Khan said Feb. 24 at the NFL Scouting Combine, according to ESPN's Brooke Pryor.

Khan added, "He knows how we feel, and I think we know how he feels about us. It was a good experience for both sides."

However, Khan also said that he doesn't envision the team waiting until June to ink a contract like it did last offseason.

A return to Pittsburgh would reunite Rodgers with McCarthy, whom the Steelers hired in January after longtime head coach Mike Tomlin stepped down. McCarthy coached Rodgers for 13 seasons with the Green Bay Packers (2006-18).

"I loved my time with Mike over the years," Rodgers said.

Will Howard and Mason Rudolph are the only quarterbacks whom Pittsburgh currently has under contract for next season.
