Wide receiver DJ Chark announced his retirement on Friday after seven NFL seasons.

"After much contemplation, I have decided to share a proper farewell as I navigate retirement," Chark said in an Instagram post.

"As I write this, I reflect on the challenges I've faced and overcome, as well as the rewards I've reaped. I've learned to appreciate every experience and not take any of them for granted. As I enter this next chapter of my life, I remain committed to being an active pillar in my community, empowering the youth through charitable work."

Chark spent the first four years of his career with the Jacksonville Jaguars after being drafted 61st overall in 2018. The LSU product earned Pro Bowl recognition in his second season in 2019 after posting career highs with 1,008 yards on 73 catches for eight touchdowns.

Appearing in 76 career games, Chark also enjoyed stints with the Detroit Lions (2022), Carolina Panthers (2023), and Los Angeles Chargers (2024).

Chark didn't play in 2025 after being released by the Atlanta Falcons in training camp.

The 29-year-old finishes his career with 216 receptions, 3,100 receiving yards, and 24 touchdowns.
