Wide receiver Kendrick Bourne is hoping the Arizona Cardinals will sign a specific veteran quarterback after recently inking his own deal with the team in free agency.

On Tuesday, Bourne took a shot at recruiting free-agent signal-caller Aaron Rodgers on social media, tagging the 42-year-old in a post on X saying, "Come on, we waiting on you."

Rodgers has yet to announce whether he'll return for a 22nd NFL season. The Pittsburgh Steelers, Rodgers' team last year, reportedly applied the unrestricted free-agent tender on the quarterback in late April.

The tender would give Rodgers a 10% increase from his 2025 salary if he returns to Pittsburgh. The Steelers would also receive a compensatory draft pick if he signs with another franchise, and they would obtain exclusive negotiating rights for Rodgers if he doesn't sign by July 22.

Arizona is heading into OTAs without a clear-cut starting signal-caller after releasing Kyler Murray in March. Jacoby Brissett started 14 games last season for the Cardinals, but the veteran is reportedly seeking a contract extension and hasn't been present for the start of Arizona's offseason program.

The Cardinals have also added to the quarterback room this offseason, signing Gardner Minshew to a one-year, $8-million deal in free agency and drafting Miami's Carson Beck in the third round.

"Right now we're focused on the guys that we got coming in," Arizona head coach Mike LaFleur told Jim Rome on Tuesday when asked if the team is interested in signing Rodgers.

LaFleur added, "We got a room that we're excited to work with, and that's solely where my focus is."

Bourne joins several new offensive pieces for LaFleur in 2026. The Cardinals made a splash in the draft by selecting Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love with the third overall selection after the star racked up 3,014 yards from scrimmage and 40 total touchdowns over the last two years.

Rodgers went 10-6 in 16 starts in 2025, throwing for 3,332 yards and 24 touchdowns during the regular season. He led the Steelers to a spot in the wild-card round, and his seven interceptions were the third-fewest among all quarterbacks with at least 14 games played.
