Washington Commanders defensive lineman Javon Kinlaw used some colorful language to express his excitement about the team's new-look defensive front.
"We got some motherf-----s now. Excuse my language," Kinlaw told reporters Wednesday, including Scott Abraham of 7News DC. "Shit, (Odafe) Oweh, he can go. Shit, Charles Omenihu can go. Shit, K'Lavon (Chaisson) can go. Shit, Tim Settle, he can go."
Kinlaw, in similar fashion, went on to name other Commanders defenders who are returning from last season.
He added, "It's gonna be exciting, bruh. It's gonna be super exciting to play with these guys, for sure. A lot of talent, bruh. I'm just excited, bro. I'm super excited."
Washington's $237.5 million spent in free agency is the third highest among all teams this offseason, according to Spotrac. The richest contract that the team handed out went to Oweh, who signed a four-year, $100-million deal. The former Los Angeles Chargers and Baltimore Ravens pass-rusher recorded 7.5 sacks and 47 pressures in 17 contests last year.
The Commanders also selected former Ohio State star linebacker Sonny Styles with the seventh pick in April's draft. The 21-year-old is projected to be a Week 1 starter after recording 182 tackles over the last two seasons.
Washington's defense struggled mightily last season, ranking last in yards allowed per game and 31st in total EPA surrendered, according to TruMedia.
Kinlaw, a first-round pick in 2020, posted 43 tackles, three quarterback hits, and zero sacks in his first season with the Commanders in 2025.
