Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence is feeling a lot more at ease this offseason as he gears up for his second season under head coach Liam Coen.

"(Coen's offense) is just a lot more stressful mentally. I had to get used to that," Lawrence told team reporter John Oehser earlier this week.

"Now, I feel so much more comfortable, and the stress level is so much lower. The attention to detail is super high, though. It's not like I'm relaxing out there, but as far as the confidence and knowing what I'm doing ... now I'm paying attention to exactly how the defense is responding."

The Jaguars posted a 13-4 record in Coen's first season at the helm, winning their final eight regular-season contests before losing in the wild-card round to the Buffalo Bills.

Despite adapting to his third offensive system since being drafted in 2021, Lawrence threw a career-high 29 touchdowns to go along with 4,007 yards, 12 interceptions, and a 61% completion rate in 2025. He also rushed for 359 yards and nine scores.

Jacksonville is again expected to be a contender in the AFC South this season, aiming to secure back-to-back playoff appearances for the first time since 1998-99.

Lawrence highlighted his growing chemistry with his receivers, particularly noting the improvement in his deep-ball connection with third-year wideout Brian Thomas Jr., who came under fire after an underwhelming 2025.

"Last year, at times, we just weren't on the same page for whatever reason," Lawrence said. "We have taken a huge step in that area. He's so fast, running by guys all the time. A lot of it was looking at myself and saying, 'OK, where can I improve and get better?"

Jakobi Meyers' arrival last November proved to be a major boost to the Jaguars' pass-catchers, serving as a reliable target for Lawrence. Jacksonville will also have Travis Hunter back on offense after a season-ending knee injury limited him to just seven games in his rookie year.
