Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels was carted off after suffering an elbow injury on the final play of the first half during Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys.
Daniels, who had an air cast over his left elbow as he exited, was ruled out shortly afterward.

Daniels tried to hold himself up as he was falling down and his elbow bent in an awkward way.

The third-year passer tripped after receiving the snap and used his left arm to keep balance. Daniels' elbow appeared to bend backwards, and he quickly threw the ball away. He then immediately grabbed his arm and fell to the ground before trainers came to evaluate him.
The Commanders had elected to try for a touchdown from the Cowboys' 1-yard line with three seconds left in the half instead of settling for a field goal.
Daniels completed 11 of 17 passes for 96 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions.
He suffered a dislocated left elbow last season as well.
Marcus Mariota replaced Daniels at the start of the second half.
