The Chicago Bears ruled out quarterback Caleb Williams for Monday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Williams was among three players ruled out in the Bears' final injury report. The star quarterback didn't practice this week after leaving Chicago's loss to the Minnesota Vikings with a hamstring injury.
Backup quarterback Tyson Bagent is listed as questionable with a concussion after returning to practice Saturday. Bagent sustained the injury on a hit in the fourth quarter against the Vikings last week. He finished the game but was placed in the league's protocol after the game.
Head coach Ben Johnson said the team's top priority has been to get Bagent healthy ahead of Monday's prime-time matchup.
"He's right on track to where he needs to be. I think mentally he's going to be in a good spot to what we're asking him to do," Johnson said Saturday, according to The Associated Press.
It still remains unclear who will start at quarterback for the Bears. Bagent could serve as the backup on Monday. Third-stringer Case Keenum took first-team reps throughout the week.
Neither Bagent or Keenum have started an NFL game since 2023.
